Minami designed the first platform for online orders for McDonalds in latinamerica, which allowed for a centralization of all its delivery and pick-up orders.

The challenge

McDonalds wanted to improve its competivity in Latinamerica and stand out from other fast food companies with a versatile tool of online orders. The challenge was that each country had its own regulations
for deliveries and logicistic complexities, which made the creation of
a single platform very challenging. Furthermore, McDonalds wanted
a program that would make online orders attractive but still motivating consumers to visit the store.

Our approach

The project began with a cultural study of the different regions
and consumer habits. We visited different stores and interviews
both costumers and staff.

The next step was to study the different regulations and logistic situations of every country to map which cities could have delivery
and which could only hace the pickup option.

In spite of the complexity of creating the program from scratch
and redesigning their CRM, the project was completed in 3 months,
ahead of the expected launch date.

Our solution

We designed a mobile app for every OS that allowed users to order online and receive home delivery or store pickup depending on geographic location.

We redesigned the Company's CRM, integrating it with the App to centralize the orders received by telemarketers as well. The app was designed to take waiting time in each store and automatically select
the most convenient one for the user.
